The website is arguably the most advanced Cricket League website in the UK if not the World. The site leverages what's possible using a combination of Microsoft Azure, API, Dot Net, and SQL Server Database programming to provide attractive user interfaces for a wide range of bespoke requirements.

We started working with WWD in the lead up to the 2024 season when we had switched to Play Cricket. We needed a Play Cricket compatible management reporting tool to enable our captains and umpires to file match reports and a suite of management reports based on this data. WWD have provided this solution and we continue to work with them on further enhancements. I have at all times found them to be professional and helpful and recommend them very highly.

Overview

The Thames Valley Cricket League is one of the largest cricket leagues in the country catering for 7 counties, 102 clubs, and 294 teams. WWD have and continue to work closely with the League to develop and support a website that digitally manages the vast majority of administration tasks in a fraction of the time previously taken and to a very high standard.

This includes;-

  • cordinated branding and cross linking with the League's Play-Cricket website,
  • the facilitaty to add and update content, including the uploading of files and images,
  • the facility to add news articles,
  • the facility to update the Calendar that appears on the homepage with events (fixtures are automatically visible),
  • a comprehensive system for managing support enquiries,
  • the League's own API for integrating with the Play-Cricket API,
  • a Portal for League Administrators to manage all areas,
  • role based Administrator access tailored to individuals,
  • a Portal for Team Captains for entering match reports and viewing notices,
  • a Portal for Club Officials for entering match reports, viewing notices and fines, voting, and updating team captain details,
  • a Portal for Umpires for entering match reports and viewing notices,
  • KPI charts to convey performance,
  • Match Reports for Teams and Umpires,
  • ECB compliant Discipline Reporting,
  • extensive Management Reports that use the data captured by the Match Reports,
  • scheduled email notices linked to and triggered by the Match Reports,
  • maintenance of team captains, umpires and umpire fixture appointments,
  • automatic importing and processing of fixtures from Play-Cricket using scheduled API calls,
  • Club voting system,
  • unlimited potential to meet the Leagues's future needs.
